can the StromPi (3) be combined with a Power over Ethernet solution?

Hi NoIP,
no, using a PoE-shield is not possible, because it would bypass the StromPi 3 functions. The problem is, that the PoE-shield uses the same GPIO pins to power the Raspberry as the StromPi does. But you can use the mUSB cable of a SBC-POE-POWER instead. This will act like a normal mUSB powersupply and doesn't interfere with the StromPi but it's powered via PoE.
