Helpdesk

I have a RPI 3B with the latest Buster on it. Attached is a Strompi 3 with accu pack.
The power comes form an official Raspberry Pi supply.
I have followed the steps in the book and still it is impossible to get in touch with the console via minicom. The strompi is not in flash mode.
Any suggestions?

Hi Bert,
First, remove all voltage supplies and remove the CAP jumper for a few seconds. Then put the CAP jumper back on (ON position). Now start your system again and test if it works. If it doesn't work I would recommend you to try one of our prepared images (lite / full) and test if it works with a prepared image.

Hello Nils,
i am new to this forum and new to Raspberry and linux.
I am at the exact same step Bert desribed.
- I have attached the Strom Pi to the Raspberry PI
- I have skipped the existing Raspian and have downloaded & setup the prepared Buster image from your website
I can not open the strompiconsole, nothing happens
When i doubleclick the "status" icon on the desktop, a blank terminal opens, nothing happens and it closes after a while
Which one is the CAP jumper?
Regards,
Frank

Hi Nils,
no this is Frank, i only hijacked Berts topic as i am facing the same issue.
I already wrote before that i am already running a preapred Buster image.
When the minicom opens i get below in the status line when:
CTRL-A Z for help | 38400 8N1 | NOR | Minicom 2.7.1 | VT102 | Offline | serial0

When i type startstrompiconsole nothing happens.
We may switch to german languague if this makes things easier?
regards,
Frank

Guten Morgen Frank,

Have you checked the Serialless Mode is enabled ?
We have the same Problem wenn PI Under-Voltage Detected then ist no way to connect via Terminal wie musst reboot.
